Effective November 6, 2026. This policy explains what Hey Waylon! (heywaylon.com), operated by TREESTUMP Ventures, collects when you visit the site or join our email list, and what we do with it. Short version: we collect your email address so we can tell you when we launch, we never sell it, and you can leave any time.
Information We Collect
We only collect what we need to run the email list:
- Your email address, when you submit the signup form and tick the consent box.
- The date and time you signed up.
- A short signup source tag, when the link you followed included one (for example, a tag showing you arrived from an Old School Casino game or a social post). This tells us which links bring people in; it is not used to identify you.
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use these logs to build profiles of visitors.
We do not currently use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.
How We Use Information
We use your email address only to send you news about Hey Waylon! iOS apps, starting with launch announcements.
Communications
Launch-list emails are occasional, not daily. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also email support@heywaylon.com to be removed. We will not send you third-party advertising.
Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address or any other personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and send email (for example, our web host or an email delivery service), and only so they can do that work for us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the security of the site and its users.
Data Retention and Security
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Signup data is stored in a private database on our hosting account, protected by access controls and encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children's Privacy
Hey Waylon! apps are general-audience utilities. The launch list is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect email addresses from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete the address.
Your Rights
You can ask us at any time to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you. Depending on where you live (for example, in California or the European Economic Area), you may have additional rights under local law; we will honor those requests. Email support@heywaylon.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Our Apps and Services
This policy covers the heywaylon.com website and launch list. Each Hey Waylon! app will ship with its own App Store privacy details; our apps are designed to work on your device without accounts, ads, or cloud uploads.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let list members know by email.
